I don't even know where to begin in describing how amazing Samjhana has been to my dad (leukemia patient) and my family. My dad was diagnosed in August 2018 with ALL. He elected to take part in a clinical trial (E1910). Since day one of care at CCF main campus Samjhana has been an amazing support. My dad has required multiple rounds of chemo as per the clinical trial. Samjhana has made numerous appointments, followed up on labs and results, been a liaison between my parents and the treatment team, coordinated care, listened to concerns and fears, shared happy moments and sad, and overall has gone above and beyond her role. I am also a nurse and it has been very difficult to separate the caregiver side of me and become a family member. She has made that separation easier. I have a deep appreciation for all that she has done for not only my dad but for my mom and myself. She is an amazing person and deserves to be recognized for it.
