My elderly mother was admitted to the hospital after arriving via ambulance. She was very confused and dehydrated and the way she was acting was very scary. By the time my mom got to her room, she was very confused and overwhelmed.
Lindsey came in at 7 p.m. When she spoke to my mom, it was as if there were just the two of them in the room. She bent down and spoke close to my mom's ear. She connected immediately with her. This put my entire family at ease and changed the tone in the room. I stayed the night and did not sleep much, allowing me to witness all the attention to my mom throughout the night. She slept all night, thanks to Lindsey asking about Melatonin, which was the perfect recommendation.
My mom was so comfortable with Lindsey, as was my entire family. She spoke to her and cared for her as if it was her own mother. I have truly never seen anything like it. She is not your "typical nurse" and goes way above and beyond expectations. We were so pleased to have Lindsey again the second night for my mom.
Lindsey has a gift and we were fortunate to be recipients of it. I have never taken the time to fill something like this out, but when I saw the forms in the family lounge, I just had to let someone know.
