Paige is the prime example of the Methodist value "the meaning of care". She goes above and beyond not only for her patients but with her coworkers as well. She comes in early and works late. She is willing to change her shift to make sure her patients have access to the best health care around. You can see her caring and compassion in all that she does. She sees every patient as a meaningful person and a story, not just a room number or a diagnosis.
Being newer to the ICU and constantly working to further develop my skills and understanding, she is always there to answer any and all questions. She makes the environment around her safe and open to any question (removing the fear of having any dumb question). She is always present and available to help while encouraging and providing further learning. I have learned so much from her, and she is a crucial member of making our team stronger. I feel so blessed to be a part of her team.
Paige is such a blessing to this organization she always goes above and beyond in caring for her patients; she has compassion like no other! Paige takes her time with her patients and is extremely empathetic with not only her patients' needs but she also takes time to listen to the family regarding their concerns and ensures that all of their questions are answered. Paige started off as an ICU nurse, and you can see that it is still very much a part of who she is. We recently had to STAT intubate a COVID-19 patient and Paige was right at the bedside assisting the nurse in stabilizing the patient - it was inspiring! Paige will always take the time to educate nurses if there is something we just do not quite understand, which in the end makes us better at what we do. Following a rough day, it is not uncommon for Paige to reach out to staff via texting to see how we are holding up emotionally, letting us know that she appreciates all of our hard work and dedication to our patients and that she is here if we need to decompress - this simple act is so uplifting, and I feel that it builds us up to think "we got this"! Paige has even taken it upon herself to move to the night shift for the next month during this COVID-19 surge to ensure that the night shift ICU team has the support they need overnight. I just cannot say it enough. Paige is such a remarkable woman and we are so blessed to have her as a part of our team here at Methodist Fremont Health! Paige is the epitome of nursing, and she makes a difference in the lives of everyone she comes into contact with.
