We have a 31-year-old female who became paraplegic in 2012 after a terrible MVA. She has been a regular patient with us since that time, most feel she is one of us. During the current hospital stay for sepsis, the massive amount of antibiotics were making her very sick.
Chrysolite recognized the patient had lost weight, and last night brought her an Oreo lasagna. This was a random act of kindness that shows our Core Values. I only knew of this act because this sweet young lady is from my small town, and she placed it on Facebook which my daughter saw and notified me. When the patient was asked about it she became tearful because she was so thankful for the care and kindness she receives while in or facility. She stated, "it is so hard to not have my family, but she made me feel special." I am proud to have someone like Chrysolite on my team knowing our patients are cared for in this manner.
