Courtney went above and beyond to care for and help our family when we needed it most. We have had Courtney as my husband's nurse on more than one occasion and each time we were treated as so much more than another patient. One of my husband's stays fell on my 30th birthday. He was very upset to spend it in the hospital and it showed. Without hesitation, Courtney got a cake and had the unit sing to me. That meant the world to me and really helped my husband feel better about being in the hospital on my birthday.
The list of how Courtney helped us goes on, but the time that I will hold in my heart is when my husband was placed on comfort measures after a long battle with cancer. I will forever be thankful that he was under her care during the hardest time of my life. Courtney's heart, patient advocacy, and determination to help our family be together are immeasurable to anyone else. I could say thank you a million times over and I still feel it wouldn't be enough to thank her for her bedside manner and compassion. Thank you Courtney for doing what you were truly meant to do in life and for being a part of our care team.
