Kelly was an excellent nurse from the time we walked onto Tower 2 to find my grandfather's room. She approached us with a friendly, smiling face and answered all the questions we had regarding my grandfather's plan of care. As a family, we decided to get hospice involved and came up with the plan that best suited my grandpa. Once the plan was set, Kelly was there when we were ready to remove his BiPAP and start his morphine drip to start comfort measures. She explained what medication she was giving my grandpa, and even held his hand as he smiled at her. With tears in her eyes, they giggled together at our comments about how lucky he was to have such a great nurse. She also hugged me and my other family members, which really showed her compassion for what she does. After spending hours at his bedside, we finally decided to go home and leave our loving 96-year-old pappy in her hands, which we all felt comfortable with, knowing he may pass in the care of Kelly, who gave us such reassurance.
