I was transferred to the med/sug unit late on Sunday night. Nic took care of me for my first two nights during my inpatient stay. He listened to me and made me feel like he really cared for me. I was in a lot of pain for most of my stay. He listened to my wishes about what medications I wanted to take and which ones I wanted to avoid unless I specifically asked for them. He went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I could need.
Nic didn't make me feel like I was just any patient, he made me feel like I was the only patient he was taking care of. When I had an anxiety attack because I was in pain and in a new situation, he was able to talk me out of it and didn't just medicate me to get me to stop panicking. Nic stood by me during my panic attack and talked about mundane things with me until it passed. I didn't feel once like he was put out by having to do that for me. I really appreciate everything he did for me and am very grateful for the care he gave me.
