Christina exemplifies great collaboration and compassion for a Long-Term Senior Behavioral Health patient on 3 West pending transfer back to West Pines. I spoke with Christina and explained that this patient has not been outside the hospital since her admission in February. Christina took the time to collaborate with the SBH team to safely manage to allow this patient out in the sunshine. She made additional calls to the Attending Psychiatrist(s) to obtain appropriate orders. She supported the SBH 1:1 and went with them outside with them as 2 associates must be with the patient. After the "walk" outside, Christina played the piano to this patient and sang for the patient. This was incredibly uplifting to this patient and was the best therapeutic "medicine" she could have received. As if that was not enough, Christina ordered this patient BBQ ribs, cornbread, and potatoes, some of this patient's favorite foods. The patient was literally glowing. I cannot express enough my appreciation to Christina for her kindness and compassion for this patient during this difficult time.
