Recently, my wife had surgery and we were blessed to have had such a great experience with the nursing staff at Tristar Southern Hills in Nashville. From Cindy and all the rest of the staff was one of the best care we had received in a hospital. Trust me, my wife and I have 4 children and my dad has been in and out of hospitals, so I have seen nursing care.
The most important nurse I wanted to highlight was Cindy Taiwo RN, who when above and beyond caring for my wife and me. She wasn't just doing her job, because everyone we encountered did their job well and with care. It was all the small stuff, the small talk, the attention to details, the personal touch, the care, she was so in tune with my wife's needs that we really did not have to ask her for anything.
She listened to her concerns and helped her with everything she saw my wife needed help with, Cindy was so natural and comfortable doing things for my wife. I had to ask her why did she do all this by herself? And her answer was, she wanted to and it was not a problem to make sure my wife was comfortable. I was there to help my wife do things, but Cindy did not allow me to help her because she just stepped in and took care of it all. Walking her in the hallway, the small talk conversation they had, the smile on her face when talking to us and always, asking us if there was something else we needed, or if we were comfortable, was there anything else she could do for us, all the way to the end of her shift. She made sure everything we needed was taken care of. She did not miss a bit.
Have you ever been to a restaurant and the waiter or waitress goes above and beyond, making sure your drink doesn't fall too low, check up on you all the time, making sure your food tastes good, ensure you have everything you need while dining there? Well, that was Cindy, she definitely has left such a great impression on us, that I had to take the time to say something.
Cindy was our best care nurse at Southern Hills and we will forever remember this awesome experience. Thank you Cindy and to all who have made our stay so peaceful and memorable.
