My story begins when my Dad had to have an emergent craniotomy. The surgery lasted 5.5 hours. It was a shock to our family because my Dad had been totally normal the day before.
After surgery, Tori took the time out of her busy schedule to explain every tube, drain, and procedure to my Mom and my Brother. She really eased our minds. It was such a blessing that Tori worked the first 5 nights that Dad was in ICU. She spent time talking to us and answering every question that we had.
We tried to not bother the staff, calling and checking on him, but sometimes we needed too. Every time we called Tori she was responsive and informative. My Dad was our rock and hero, so we were anxiously awaiting any updates on his condition. Tori called me on day 4 following Dad's surgery to tell me that he was opening his eyes and following commands. This was the best news I had heard in 5 days. She apologized for waking me and said she wanted to be the one that told me. It meant the world to me that someone that I had just met 4 days before, thought enough to call and give me such awesome news.
Thank you, Tori, from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness, compassion, and support you gave us during one of the most difficult times in our lives.
