Let's talk about an incredible nurse. Christine is a nurse who does the right thing and provides the best care whether someone is watching or not. She recognizes every patient belongs to someone- a mother, father, brother, sister, husband, wife, child, and each one matters. Despite her patients being intubated and sedated, she walks in and introduced her name and that she will be their nurse taking care of them. She talks to her patients and informed them what she is doing to make them feel that someone taking care of them. She spends time keeping her patients comfortable as much as possible, holds their hands, and tells them that they are doing a good job. She acts as a patient advocate who cannot advocate for themselves and she also serves as a cheerleader while the family that cannot be here to cheer them. I truly believe she makes an impact on every patient she cares for, whether the patient sedated or not. She definitely made an incredible impact on me. She is the exact definition of a DAISY Nurse and we are so blessed to have her on our team caring for our patients.
