Megan is always an excellent nurse. She is a loving caring and compassionate to all patients that have the good fortune to be assigned to her. She frequently goes above and beyond for her patients. I was fortunate enough to witness one of her finest moments as a nurse. Her extraordinary acts of kindness to one of our CVCC patient certainly goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Megan made a very sick young man feel like a king! This patient is a very small 4-year-old boy who loves his daily bubble baths. His skin is extremely delicate because of the powerful medications he requires daily. One way to ease the discomfort of fragile skin is our "CVCC spa" massages complete with hand and foot massages. Megan brought the CVCC spa to a whole new level! He had spent many weeks on our unit and a bath seemed like a luxury he would have to go without until he was discharged. However, Megan was his nurse and she made it happen. She placed an infant tub filled with warm water on top of his bed added a touch of soap and the "magic" air tubing to make some "big bubbles". This patient was delighted to receive the ultimate CVCC spa experience. His mother said she had never seen him so happy.
