Tiffany continued to go above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I was transferred from another Hillcrest facility and my first two days were disheartening. Tiffany came on the scene and changed that all by herself. When I needed anything, she was always the one who showed up and took care of everything. She did anything needed even those things that probably did not fall under her job, but she did not mind.
She calmed me down when I would get anxious because my blood counts were going the wrong direction. She assured me everything was going to be okay when it came time for my bone marrow biopsy. She also knew that I was constantly worried about my WBC count and HGB so anytime she was here she made sure to keep checking the computer until the labs were there just to ease my mind. Regardless of the lab results, she would find a positive to point out to me.
We had a discussion about Dr. Pepper one evening. She told me about the Dr. Pepper Cream Soda, and I was so excited. I told her I would for sure be trying that flavor. Anyway, before too long she comes into my room with a 20 oz Dr. Pepper Cream Soda. When she took her lunch, she went to the cafeteria and bought me one to try. I almost cried because it was such a sweet thought and she spent her own money just to try to make me smile. Tiffany is a huge asset to Hillcrest, and I don't know what I would have done without her because I was truly struggling. I truly feel she deserves this recognition more than anyone.
