Our family member was admitted to your hospital for three weeks when he was discharged. During that time, he tells us that he received exceptional care from the nursing staff. The nursing staff was diligent, skilled, thorough, and caring. He mentioned by name, Trish Orona.
Our loved one has a large family that loves him very much. We are sure that he knows that. The problem is that knowing he is loved and that he is not alone does not replace the feeling and reality of being all alone. As if it is not hard enough to recover from serious medical conditions (not COVID-19 related), none of his loved ones were able to visit or physically be there for him.
Our family was told that when he was feeling at his lowest point, it was nurse Trish Orona that sat with him and held his hand while giving him words of encouragement. This touched his heart in a very special way and thus touched the hearts of all his loved ones as well.
Every day in the news we see and hear about heroes in the medical field and it is our pleasure to announce that we also have our local medical heroes; those that give exceptional care and recognize that during this time of crisis, it is extremely hard and so sad for patients to go without loving emotional support from their families and Trish Orona was companionate enough to fulfill those needs as well.
Our loved one and our family want to express our deepest gratitude for the care provided and the emotional support that was so needed and very much appreciated.
