From the moment my family and I arrived, Amanda made me feel comfortable and welcomed. She is skilled and her sweet, caring personality and friendliness caused me to put down my defensive wall, as hospital stays for families can be very stressful. Her genuine caring helped reduce some of that stress and other emotions. She made me feel that I, the parent, mattered too, not just my children because they were the patients. That is something that I look for in a nurse who will be caring for my children. I really enjoyed her friendliness and skilled advice when I asked for it. To me, she really is a great example of how a nurse should be skilled, good at her job, but also sympathetic and empathetic that's genuine. When I was tired, she extended a helping hand with my little angels and to me. So, I really appreciate everything she did and appreciate her as a great nurse. She was great caring for my children, talking to them and giving them care. I felt like we weren't "just" patients. I also liked how at the beginning she acknowledged my other son who wasn't a patient. She was kind and sweet to all of us. I am very happy that my experience at Santa Rosa Memorial started with her and ended with her. A good way to open and close the experience. Thank you!

My wife and I spent almost 2 days in the hospital with our daughter. Amanda was our nurse and the entire time we were here she went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. With Amanda, you can tell that she genuinely cares about her patients and really loves her job. She was always respectful and soft spoken. She even made sure to bring items we didn't even know we needed until the need arose, which was great. My daughter does not take well to strangers, she doesn't even let them go near her without a fight. Because of Amanda's kind nature, my daughter actually opened up and allowed her to do what she needed. In my opinion, Amanda is a valuable asset to this hospital and a perfect DAISY!
