We came into the ER when my husband had chest pressure. The day before, we had been to the cardiologist where he ordered a CT scan with contrast followed by a coronary stress test. While in the ER, he had tests which showed no heart attack so they decided to send him to the CDU for observation. When we got to the CDU, we met our nurse Charity. She got him settled and seemed very kind and quite personable. At one point after more tests and early on in our stay in the CDU, Charity seemed to be able to tell we were having a hard time digesting all that we had been through in such a short time. She started telling us a story about her kids and how she handled a situation with babysitting one extra kid. It was a fun story and for that short period of time we had been transported away from our worries! She seemed to know exactly how to take us away to a funny situation. Charity also did her job with a very positive attitude even when she had some equipment that was having trouble working. We enjoyed being with her!
