My mother was in ICU for 5 days last week. All the nurses were exceptional, but one stood ahead of the pack as someone who is more than deserving of an award. Jeff goes above and beyond. Jeff made my mother's stay and level of care at Physicians Regional exceptional with a positive, can-do attitude, and outstanding level of compassion and professionalism. He treated my mother and her the family members, with great regard and respect.
My mother has a hearing problem; he was always careful to speak loudly and slowly as he fully explained every detail of her care. He was very diligent and careful of keeping a watchful eye when monitoring her situation. He was always available to help us, answer questions, find out lab results, etc. When presented with challenges, such as having to string together 10 feet of IV cording in order for my mother to go to an MRI, he handled it very professionally and thoughtfully.
We appreciated the fact that he was extra concerned with cleanliness and maintaining clean IV lines. Jeff was a ray of sunshine during our stay and extremely helpful and positive. Jeff is an asset to the ICU and to Physicians Regional and he deserves recognition.
