During her stay, my cousin had multiple interventions in the radiology department. Twice she had to have fluid removed from around her lungs. She was told she could have 1 of 2 things happen when the fluid was being drained: extreme pain or a cough. The first time she had the fluid removed she had extreme pain. The second time she was very apprehensive because she remembered the pain and was scared. Robin stayed with her and helped her through the procedure. Although another nurse was assigned to help during the procedure Robin stayed at her side; my cousin was very thankful!
I have heard Robin say multiple times "I love my job!" I truly believe Robin lives out the Mercy Health Promise and the Mercy Health Values: Compassion, Human Dignity, Sacredness of Life, Excellence, Justice, and Service.
