Andrew fostered a special relationship with one of his Pediatric patients during a prolonged stay. They bonded so well that when it came time for discharge this patient said he didn't want to leave because Andrew was his best friend. When the little boy went back to school, they had a welcome back ceremony for him. The nurse manager and Andrew both went to his school to surprise him. Andrew wanted to make him feel excited to go back to school. Andrew is a true example of an exceptional nurse who made a difference in the life of a child.
