A patient called me over to tell me that Susanne was the best nurse he's ever had. He said that he's been hospitalized a few times and never had a nurse like her. He had to spend several hours in the PACU because a room was not available. But he said that she did everything she could to make him comfortable. She made sure he saw his family, brought him drinks and snacks, and found him a fan because he felt too warm. The patient said, "I never had to look for her. She was always there, a step ahead, trying to meet my needs." He also said, "I wish I could take her with me so she could remain as my nurse." Susanne has received many compliments from her patients for her attentiveness, kindness, and strong clinical practice. She is truly an asset to our unit and our patients.
