Lisa Johnson is one of the most caring nurses, I've had so far. She helped me in so many ways; there are no words I can describe how grateful I am to have her as my nurse. She met my goals and fulfilled my family needs. She helped and inspired me in making me see my life differently. She provided so much support when I needed it at my "worst and best."
***
Lisa was one of our ICU boarders, who transferred from Olive View Medical Center because she wanted to work in the Intensive Care Unit here at LAC USC Medical Center. Lisa worked with us at 7D for about six months before she went to the ICU program. Working with Lisa had been a blessing. She is such a compassionate and caring nurse who acts out of love from her heart and sincere concern. She always took the time to understand her patient's needs or concerns and was good at following up until a resolution was found. She is an outstanding patient advocate characterized by her clinical expertise and devotion to her patients and families. Her name was mentioned many times when I did patient interviews. Patients and families have expressed how much they appreciate Lisa and her support for them while she was working in unit 7D.
Congratulations, Lisa, on receiving the DAISY Award!
