I was in Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas in August with a diagnosis of terminal lung cancer. I would like to recognize a young nurse by the name of Katie. This young nurse, in my opinion, shows great potential - in fact, I would state exemplary professionalism with her compassionate, kind and caring manner in her duties as a nurse during my stay in this facility. I base my opinion on my many hospitalizations in the past 30 years, dealing with serious to critical medical issues. And her being new to this position as an RN, this young lady stands out above the rest as far as her potential to only excel as time goes on.
Folks, you have a really special one with Katie. To state that this young RN is extraordinary and compassionate in her duties as a nurse is almost an understatement. She sure made a difference in the care provided to me with the kindness, compassion, and professionalism given to me while I was in your facility. I can state this: there may be some equal, but I truly don't see how anyone could top this young RN. In closing, I will state the obvious. It's never pleasant to be in a hospital, but the level of care shown to me by this young RN is as good as any treatment or medications administered. Thanks and God bless to all, especially Katie.
