My batteries in my hearing aids died. I thought I had packed some but had not. This happened around 8:30 pm so it would be until my husband came at 6 pm the next day that I could get new ones. I wear two hearing aids so it is very hard to hear without them.
I asked Averi if by chance they have hearing aid batteries. She didn't believe so but looked. Averi asked another nurse about them. This nurse called another unit and walked next door to ask. None available.
Unbeknownst to me, when Averi went out to get her coffee, she stopped and bought the batteries for me. They were at the desk the next morning!
She went above and beyond to help me. To me, that shows her true nature and her compassion for her job.
Even before all of this, she truly is one of the nicest people to talk to, always ready to listen.
