Lindsay often does "extra" things for her patients. She recently took care of a critically ill patient from outside the area. His young children were here, ages 8 and 10, and were being cared for by family members at the hotel. Lindsay arranged for the children to get swimsuits so they could use the pool. She also went out and bought a small battery-operated Christmas tree so the same patient would have some Christmas.
On another occasion, she went down to the pharmacy and purchased a pill sorter and helped a patient set up his now delivered medications into the weekly pill container. He had several readmissions because he wasn't taking his medications appropriately.
Just this week she obtained a large print word search for her patient because he stated he enjoyed doing them and mostly staying in bed and sleeping because he had nothing to do. He didn't enjoy watching tv.
These are just a few examples as to how Lindsay goes above and beyond for her patients. The examples show she cares and she listens to her patients and displays compassion every day.
