As Nurse Manager she is committed to lifelong learning. Charlette completed her Bachelor's and is pursuing her Masters. I came into my position with almost no knowledge of wound care; I can say now, all I have learned has been through her coaching and courageous leadership. She cares about all patients; she consistently calls and follows up on their care to ensure they have all they need. She goes above and beyond by calling other facilities to advocate for patients, ensuring they are treated with the proper reverence they deserve. For patients that are financially troubled, she helps arrange transportation (COTA), to get them to all appointments, demonstrating her passion for outstanding clinical care. She organizes quarterly meetings; if staff is unable to attend, she phones them in, ensuring an inter-professional collaborative practice, and shared governance. She fosters a healthy work environment by encouraging staff to communicate, work-out, and exercise healthy coping mechanisms for stress. She organizes outings to promote justice, teamwork, and trust among staff members. Charlette's integrity and dedication to her work reflects great credit upon herself and the Mount Carmel Health Care system.
