My mother was a patient and T'Sheira was the most caring and comforting nurse to both my mother and me. She knew everything that was going on with my mother every time I asked. Even though she had several patients, she made me feel that my mother was top on her list. She was always asking how she was feeling, did she need anything and constantly reassuring my mother that I would be coming back to see her when I left after visiting hours. Even though my mother became very irritated and agitated easily, she always put a smile on her face when T'Sheira walked in and said, "There's my girl."
When I expressed my concern about my mother's mental status and the fact that she became very confused, T'Sheira called the doctor, explained the concerns to him of which the doctor then ordered some more tests. She took the time to explain the test in detail and even explained what happens to elderly patients that stay in the ICU for a period. She assured me and told me about each time the doctor came to visit and check on her physically and her mental condition. All though there was never a definitive answer on where my mother's infection was coming from or what kind of infection it was, she stayed on top of this asking the doctors and then informing me of any findings when she started her shift.
T'Sheira is a nurse that truly cares for the patient and their loved ones. It doesn't matter what race, color, religion the person is because she sees you as a Human Being. She truly nurses from her heart. Great job T'Sheira! And thank you for your sense of humor to always lift the spirits.
