Ms. Lewis took the time to help me understand what my treatment was and how it would improve my health. She has strong people skills and knows how to reach people. Her caring for the individual and knowledge of treatment was superior and effective. I had a full understanding of why I was taking what medication and what was going on with regards to my treatment. I was honestly comforted by her skills and compassion. Superior caregiver!

Of all the great nurses that cared for me during my recent visit at the James A. Haley VA Hospital, Valentina stands out as the best. I particularly remember my last day when she very efficiently handled my discharge. She spoke numerous times with my wife, explaining procedures and answering any questions that my wife or myself might have. As busy as she was, she still found time to speak with me with subjects not related to medicine. I needed that psychological boost.
The five criteria for a DAISY Nurse were met every day by Valentina. She truly is an extraordinary nurse.
