Last night when leaving the hospital to feed pets and get back to the hospital to be with my husband, I got on the elevator where I was greeted by a woman. She asked how I was; I was pretty distraught with all I am going through. She asked if I needed a hug and I said yes. Her hug was so warm. We walked toward the door, stopped and I poured out my concerns: my husband's mass, losing part of his kidney, my father in Illinois and the call that he was on hospice the very night of my husband's surgery, my mother's pending surgery to re-attach her retina to her eye from a car accident, the stress of missing work, and severe lack of sleep. JoAnne was so tender and kind. She promised to pray for me, my family, and great care. Her kindness as a nurse and a human being is rare and honorable! I pray she gets this love note, wherever she is, I only know her name and that she's an IV nurse. PLEASE thank her for me!
