I have had lots of nurses since I have been here and let me tell you the world's best nurse in the world is my nurse Alice. She cares about me and my needs and then she goes beyond that. She treats me as a person, and she makes me feel like I am a person. We talk about a lot of things; she cares about me because we talk about anything that's bothering me, and she really calmed me down. She makes everything feel like heaven when she walks into my room. She is there with my meds when they are due and I don't have to call her to ask for them. She's a great nurse and a great woman.
If every nurse in your hospital was just like her, all your patients would get better faster. But I was the lucky one to have a nurse like Miss Alice to be my nurse. She jokes around with me and makes me laugh and feel so much better. She is there when I need her, both as a nurse and as a friend.
I sure hope you tell her just how much she meant to me and how much she was right by my side and any every time I needed her. She doesn't know just how much she means to me and how much I love being her patient.
