A Veteran wrote a thoughtful letter regarding the extraordinary care he received from Ms. Ericka Wilder during his 3-day stay in the facility. The Veteran stated, "I served in the United States Army Infantry for 8 years and have had my share of injuries both on-duty and otherwise, and I can honestly say I have never received such diligent, compassionate care as I received while under the attention of Ms. Wilder."
The Veteran boasted about Ms. Wilder's exceptional bedside mannerism and clinical skill set. The Veteran felt that his fast recovery was attributed to the care and advocacy that he received by Ms. Wilder. He stated, "Because of her integrity to the highest moral principles, commitment to the Medical Center, and even greater pledge to me as a patient, I believe I was able to recover faster and to a greater extent which would have been impossible without her. Her respect for my wants and needs far exceeded anything I could have asked for or have experienced before." The Veteran ended the nomination letter by sharing, "Ericka is an earth angel. Please take the time to extend my very special heartfelt thanks to someone I will never forget and can never repay."
