As a doula for almost 18 years, I have worked with many nurses in various units. I have been in MMCSC with my 95-year-old father who has CHF for a month. Daniella has the unique ability to zero-in on the needs, both medically and emotionally, of her patients and their loved ones. With her warm and confident manner, she is quick and responsive to any need, minor and not so minor. Her sincere concern motivates her to excel in her skills and techniques, she even beats all the respiratory therapists with her suctioning skills. She doesn't delegate the less pleasant tasks, for example placing my father on a bedpan. If she sees her patient is uncomfortable, she is not lazy to help them and does so as soon as possible.
Everything for Daniella is "no problem" or "just call me if I can help you with anything." Even at the end of her long shift, she still maintains her compassionate smile, easy going personality, and positive energy. It was not easy being at the bedside of an ailing loved one, but every day with Daniella was the most pleasant experience possible. My sister and I have chosen to nominate Daniella Devoice for her extraordinary nursing care; she is also smart, knowledgeable, and somehow always remembers my father's Chemistries and Test results! Amazing, that is because she really cares!
