Comfort, calm and caring are the words used to describe Mary Ann as she cared for a wife hospitalized while being her husband's primary caregiver. Mary Ann also gave comfort and reassurance to the patient's daughter enabling her to be home with her father while her mother recovered here at Walter Reed.
In the daughter's word's, "Mom was blessed to be assigned Mary Ann as her nurse. I truly believe that God brings into our lives in difficult moments and times what I call Angels on Earth and Mary Ann was that angel. I can never express in words what she gave us. The peace and comfort she provided not to mention the actual technical, clinical care was exceptional."
