I went into labor at 3AM. I went to North Collier and I had a wonderful nurse named Angie who took care of me. Around the time of the shift change I became extremely uncomfortable and asked to have the epidural. The nurse who was taking over told me I would likely have to wait for 1 hour because all the anesthesiologists were doing epidurals for the scheduled C-section patients. Angie heard this and took it upon herself to find the CRNA who was going off shift. The CRNA performed the epidural and Angie stayed past her shift time to assist her. I cannot thank her enough. She gave me fantastic care.

Angie went above and beyond in her care for myself and family while I was in NCH birth woman place. She brought extra blankets and ice and was always positive and her compassion was genuine. When I awoke several times completely disoriented, she'd assure me of surroundings and my fears were easily calmed. She was always kind, even when I leashed out in pain and assured me that all would be well. Angie most certainly exhibits every compassionate care criteria!
