I have to say that the labor and delivery department as a whole is severely underrated at MetroHealth. I had many exceptional nurses, physicians, and staff take care of me, but one person stood out above them all. AnnMarie Gorman made the delivery of our 1st daughter so incredible. The entire laboring experience was calm, controlled, and more amazing than I could have ever imagined.
AnnMarie consistently checked in on me and made sure I was completely comfortable. She even came in extra time to help deliver our baby. She has an amazing personality that makes you feel like family and forget you are even at the hospital. Her kindness and expertise are unlike any nurse I have met.
AnnMarie was in constant communication with my husband and me to make sure I was comfortable and not overwhelmed by visitors. The actual delivery was so special, AnnMarie created such a positive and comfortable environment, she made our experience unforgettable. AnnMarie is very deserving of the DAISY Award. I am sure I am not the only one who has received exceptional care from this amazing woman. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.
