Chelsea goes above and beyond regularly. She works multiple overtime shifts to ensure excellent patient care and to help team members. She is compassionate and cares for the patients and their families on a level that is like none other. She regularly goes out of her way to help team members on her unit and the sister units. She provides the care that everyone would want if they were a patient at Novant Health. She is kind, caring, and empathetic. Chelsea has been witnessed consoling the family of a dying patient on multiple occasions. She sits with people who need someone. She listens to those that have no one to listen. She was part of the care team for a patient who was in ICU for 4 months. The patient's wife and family had a short list of caregivers who could provide care for their loved one. This patient was complex in every dimension of his care and Chelsea elevated the care of the patient and his family to a level we should all aspire to achieve. Chelsea was on that list for a reason. She is a true DAISY Nurse!
