I want to bring it to the attention of any and all nursing, that Celeste has gone above and beyond all expectations my family had. My grandfather was a patient, and Celeste worked three 12-hour shifts caring for him. My grandfather has several brain tumors and now the cancer is in his liver. Not only was he told about the cancer in his liver, he was told he only had six months left with us. Never in my 25 years of life have I ever seen my grandfather shed a tear, he has always been solid and tough and the rock of our family.
Celeste cared for my grandfather in the kindest, most thoughtful care and her effective care touched him. Her care was more than we could ever have ask for him. When he thanked Celeste for her exceptionally high level of care, he broke down into a stream of tears.
So, we ask that Celeste be recognized with the DAISY Award for her exceptional care. Our family is forever thankful she was Grandfather's nurse that weekend.
