Brandon Bertotto went above and beyond his duty to access his patients and serve their needs through severe storms and dangerous conditions one weekend.
While Brandon had already navigated dangerous ice-laden roads in the darkness of night over a particularly ominous winter, he ventured a step further this summer. After damaging storms swept through the area, Brandon loaded his chainsaw in his truck and set out to reach his patients in their homes. He drove over downed power lines that littered the street, used his saw to cut through fallen trees so he and other drivers could pass through the roads, and he charged through a treacherous, muddy, water-covered driveway to serve a patient in pain. While many would have declared it too dangerous to venture to their patients' homes, Brandon took extraordinary steps to ensure that he took care of his patients in their time of need. This extra effort brought solace and comfort to his patients and their families, who appreciated that someone was watching out for them.
