Tom is one nurse you can be happy to have to work on your unit. Tom is a good listener, and very easy to talk to. One resident even said, "Tom always goes the extra mile to help us out." Tom is always there to help all staff when it is needed. Whether it would be transferring a veteran or helping with cares, Tom is there without any hesitation. When Tom is around, you always see the resident's face light up because they are always happy to see him. When the residents are having a bad day, Tom will sit with them and talk and does not care how long it takes, even if it means just taking them outside for a stroll to relieve their anxiety.
Tom is a very special person. Putting the veterans first is always his first priority and it shows. His heart is super special and all the veterans love having him around.
