My husband and I wanted to write and thank you for placing our son in Angelina's care. Angelina is an incredible, talented nurse who perfectly blends a gregarious personality with amazing intelligence and nursing skill. When our son was transitioning from mg tube to bottle feedings, we often joked that we were sending him to "Angelina's feeding boot camp." Every night when she was his nurse, our son consistently took all of his required nutrition. We don't know how she worked her magic, but the results spoke for themselves. Although other night nurses struggled to get our son to drink all of his required mLs, Angelina never wavered. We knew that if we left him in Angelina's care, he was in the very best hands possible. When a situation seemed impossible, Angelina always found a way to be successful.
Angelina was one of the nurses who made it a pleasure to be in the NICU. She is funny, down-to-earth, relatable, and warm. Our son responded so well to Angelina, and she was able to help him thrive with feedings so he could go home. She had fantastic stories that made us smile and laugh, and she spread joy throughout the entire NICU. When situations are uncertain, humor goes a long way. Angelina's humor always lifted our spirits and made us forget our son's dire situation. She also encouraged us to look at the beautiful life awaiting our special needs son outside of the NICU. She had the unique talent of consistently taking anything negative and spinning it into a positive. Angelina is the very definition of excellence in nursing. Thank you for having such an incredible staff comprised of people like Angelina.
