Jacque went above and beyond when responding to a Stroke Alert called on my patient on the Stepdown Cardiology Unit. She showed up with a smile on her face, introduced herself, and jumped right in to quickly get patient to CT. She was able to get the needed IV access on this patient who was a tough stick. She was constantly talking to the patient, checking on him. She was even checking on me (his bedside RN), had me drink some water while we waited for the CT results. The doctors were talking to each other and she ensured they kept us up to date on what the scans showed, plan, and next steps. She made sure when we got back to the patient's room that he was comfortable, settled, helped reassure the patient's family and gave me her direct dial and encouraged me to call if needed absolutely anything. Jacque truly made a stressful situation go so much smoother and she is clearly a nurse who loves what she does because it was so evident from all of her actions. Thanks so much!
