...Brenda Tocol leads her team diligently with a lot of enthusiasm. She is recognized by her peers, patients and families as being caring, compassionate, and kind with a gentle spirit. She reports to work every single day with a smile and is authentically present for all. She possesses many traits as an excellent nurse, but the one that she exhibits most is offering herself. She goes above and beyond to create a healing environment for her patients and families while sustaining trust and respect from her peers, and the critical care management team. Not only is she a caring person, but she is an exemplary nurse. She has had perfect attendance over the last few years without any call ins. When asked what motivates her to come to work, she stated that she tries to take care of herself by eating right, exercising, resting and keeping a work life balance. Her mannerism is always professional with excellent leadership and critical thinking skills. Her ability to keep her team calm even when the unit is extremely busy speaks volumes about her leadership skills and creativity. Brenda is definitely a "Daisy" and I am happy to have her as a part of the Critical Care Family here at SSF.
