Every nurse has that one patient that they'll remember forever. Well, this patient has that one nurse I'll never forget. Amanda has wonderful bedside manners and goes above and beyond to help meet my needs. She is always so busy running up and down these hallways giving excellent care, but never too busy to stop, smile, and ask if I'm okay and if I need anything. Amanda has those comfort and healing hands. I would like to nominate her for not just 1 DAISY Award but a whole wheel barrel full of them!
I came in to have surgery and my anxiety always gets the best part of me, but Amanda kept me focused until I was able to finish with dressing changes and the cath that was so much trouble. She was able to get it after being swollen. She kept me well covered throughout the whole process and made me feel like she valued my feelings. Thank you, Amanda, for the outstanding care that you have given me! Amanda will always be a DAISY Nurse to me.
