Toni helped me during the most difficult of surgical circumstances. We had one very sick patient, three surgeons and six separate surgical procedures over the course of our first case of the day, lasting over five hours. The patient had many physiological challenges. Our other challenges were to move the surgeons and their service specific supplies and equipment in and out after procedures had been completed.
Toni went above and beyond to help position the patient and keep them safe and warm. She helped open supplies and moved equipment in and out of the room. Toni helped the flow of the room as we changed surgeons and equipment.
Toni's extra pair of hands helped create a safe environment for the patient. Other staff assigned to the room were able to give great care to the patient and help prepare for each new procedure. I could not have completed my assignment without her skilled care and experience in preparation for cases.
Toni is the epitome of helping hands for patients and her co-workers.
