I was having a panic attack in my room and Melody happened to be walking by and poked her head in the room to see if I was okay. She immediately recognized my panic attack and came in to help. Note: She was not my nurse. Melody sat with me for an extended period of time, helping me get my panic under control. She was my angel. She worked hard to help me get back in control. Then, the following day on my way to IR, she saw my stretcher going by and noticed my anxiety was ramping up. She came out of the room she was in, stopped the stretcher, and once again helped me get my breathing under control. She reassured me it would be okay and gave me a huge hug that made all the difference in the world to me. Someone who was not my nurse stepped in to help me. That's just amazing.
