I took my 84 year old mother, Mary Jo, to the infusion center today, 7/20/2011, for a Reclast treatment. We were Blessed to have Mary as our nurse. She truly went beyond the call providing excellent care with compassion. My Mom is suffering from Dementia and was fearful of the procedure. Mary managed to win her over and put her at ease immediately. Our Dr. had not provided the necessary test results so Mary handled that for us as well explaining everything to me and my Mom. She did the necessary blood work so painlessly my Mom did not even feel it. Because we were going to be there longer than anticipated Mary asked if we had eaten lunch and proceeded to provide sandwiches, beverages, and cookies to us. Mary is a wonderful nurse and person, and I would like to thank her and recognize her for the extraordinary care she provided. It was like we had our own private nurse, but actually Mary had numerous patients and responsibilities she was attending to at the same time. She is really the perfect example of what it takes to be a wonderful nurse. I would like to thank her for being there for us.
