Janet has been an RN on 5800 for 40 years. Her patients love her sweet and calm nature and will often mention that they felt safe and cared for when she is their nurse. She is always knowledgeable about her patients' medical issues and treatment plans and with her knowledge and experience is an excellent preceptor for new nurses. She mentors them with kindness and compassion so they know they can always go to her for assistance and questions knowing they will get the support they need. She is an integral member of our night shift, modeling accountability, excellent patient care, and leadership.
Her unwavering positive attitude, in light of the many challenges on 5800, is an inspiration to us all.
