I believe wholeheartedly that special Nurse Amy Payne is a true DAISY Nurse. Her name Payne was well played in my visit here, but it was the pains that I had, she took away from me. No matter how many times I hit the button she was promptly here and most of the time she would say she would be back in 30 min or an hour, and there she was directly on time. She never forgot me. She paid very close attention to me, covering me up when I was cold, without having to ask and uncovering me when I was getting too hot.
Always smiling, making me feel comfortable and even made me laugh at times when I was down. She noticed my urine was drastically dark and explained the need for it to be much clearer. She then convinced me I needed to drink 2 large glasses of water in at least 2 hours. She then brought me them both with lots of ice to make it cold just the way I like it. Not only did she notice the dark urine but she would empty the urinal herself wash it out and it would smell so clean with a hint of soap smell. It made me not want to use it again.
She was always lifting my spirits by saying I'm looking better today or looking better this time. Things like that make you want to fight harder to achieve your goal. It is like she knew I was on more than some sprint, but a long race to finish strong. A race that she ran with me. Right alongside me. Encouraging me to breathe the right way at the right time, to ensure that I go home safe and sound.
Amy is an extraordinary nurse. She possesses intelligence, dedication, and concern. She has a very professional manner. She made me feel comfortable when asking and answering all my questions. She is not only beautiful on the outside but most of all beautiful on the inside. Thank you, Amy, for going the extra mile.
