It is with great enthusiasm that I nominate Rosa Lomonte for the DAISY Award. Since joining the hospice team in the beginning of 2010, Rosa has consistently demonstrated excellence in nursing care. Her work day should end at 4:30 PM but Rosa can often be found
visiting patients well into the evening hours. On her day off, she can often be found attending a wake or a funeral for one of her patients.
Her consistent demonstration of service excellence is evidenced in the number of letters we receive from patient families praising her work and dedication. The positive comments on the patient satisfaction surveys also attest to Rosa’s unwavering commitment to the standards of service excellence.
She is extremely flexible in her daily schedule in seeing hospice patients and is always willing to assist other members of the team in order to achieve quality patient care. Rosa is an asset to the hospice team and to the Medical Center and truly deserving of the DAISY Award.
