All our nurses were great during our stay, but Nicol was awesome! Nicol knew how to win over my 4-year old son during one of the most traumatic experiences in his life. She was wonderful with keeping my family updated and informed. She told us about the different activities offered by the hospital to keep the children entertained, and about the wagons available to bring the children on a stroll. Nicol provided educational material on medications added to my child's care, and she had a special way of calming and reassuring us. We were lucky to have her as our nurse 3 times during our stay. When providing care for pediatric patients the nurse is also caring for the parents and she did just that. She is worth her weight in gold and is an asset to CHNOLA.
