Karen was exceptional in giving the best care for my husband. He had a stroke in Feb 2018 that left him a quadriplegic and non-vocal. He had been determined to be that way indefinitely. Out of all his many hospital stays, Karen talked to him face to face before each point of care and made a real connection after several attempts and fails. She was the first nurse to get him to follow a verbal command. Most nurses never even tried because of his stroke being hemorrhagic pontine and his nonverbal overall existence. Karen not only had him follow commands, but he also lifted his left hand on his own. Karen kept him comfortable and she did such a great job being on top of his needs; we love her. She is one of the greatest assets this hospital has; you are very fortunate to have her.
